AiguaDisplay

Use the AiguaDisplay unit to display the race results through an external monitor connected to an iPod device. The Display unit is designed to be self-sufficient so once connected to the external screen and the AguaDisplay unit selected it can be left unattended.
Please review the requirements section below to see which devices are able to run the AiguaDisplay unit.

Establish connection with Master unit:

  • The Display unit will constantly try to establish a connection with the Master unit.
  • UNIT SELECTOR: Use the Unit Selector button if you want to go back and choose a different Aigua unit.

Wait for Race Enable:

  • Once a connection has been established with the AiguaMaster unit the Display unit will wait for a race to be enabled before displaying any information.
  • If an external screen is connected it will show the external screen's resolution on the unit's screen.
  • If there is no external screen connected the race results will be displayed on the unit's screen, so you can verify the network connection is working without the need for an external screen.

Race enabled:

  • Once a race is enabled the split results will be displayed on the external screen as they are sent from the AiguaMaster unit.

Connection loss:

  • If at any time the connection with the Master unit is lost, the Display unit will try to restore it automatically.
  • Remember though that once a race is enabled, unit discovering is turned off, so a connection cannot be restored until the current race is over.

Requirements

The AiguaDisplay unit has special requirements since it must be able to manage an external screen. The following are the device models that can work with the AiguaDisplay unit:
  • iPod 4G
  • iPhone 4
  • iPhone 4S
Although some iPhone models are supported we strongly recommend against using an iPhone for this application since phone calls could interrupt the system at critical race times.
